Ismael Smith (Barcelona, Spain, 1886 - White Plains, New York, USA, 1972) was a Spanish-American sculpture, engraver and draftsman. He was born in Barcelona, Spain. He traveled to England and the United States until in 1918 he settled permanently in New York, where he died. Many of his engravings are in the British Museum in London. In this drawing, the artist, with his special creative personality, represent the head of the Apostle Santiago.
